The Skoura Oasis is 40 km from Ouarzazate, and you're bound to pass through it if you want to get to the gorges of Boulmane Dadès.

My suggestion:
If you want to take an excursion to the Dadès Valley, I think Skoura is a better place to spend the night than Ouarzazate before heading off for the adventure.
My review

Skoura is on the road to the most attractive kasbahs in the country, so I took the opportunity to visit and explore these ancient, rammed-earth fortresses. They overlook the valley and offer an incredible view! The best known, not far from Skoura, is the Kasbah Amerhidil which was built in the 17th century. Some of the scenes from the film Lawrence of Arabia were shot there and it's fun to go there.

The pretty, picturesque villages near El Kellaâ M'gouna by the Dadès River are well worth the trip. A chance to immerse yourself in Berber culture and meet all kinds of people.

From there onwards, you are in the Valley of the Roses. So I took the opportunity to buy some rose water, an ancient beauty secret, much used by Moroccan women. I used it to freshen up, it's a lovely feeling!
