70 km from Ouarzazate, the small town of Agdz can be a place to stop and rest or to eat at one of the food stalls on the side of the road.

My suggestion:
The Festival of Dates takes place every year in October and brings a beautiful animation to the town which is more sleepy during the rest of the year.
My review

Although Agdz is not considered a jewel of Moroccan tourism, its geographical location however, seems to be ideal. It is midway between Ouarzazate and Zagora, at the foot of Jbel Saghro, nestled in the valleys of Dades and Draa.

Were I to tell you to do the classic tourist trail, I would tell you that there is a lovely souk at Agdz, a rather interesting daily market and the old Caid Ali kasbah. Nothing requires a long stay. It is when you least expect it that the magic of the journey sometimes happens. It was in Agdz that I had my best culinary experience. I will not tantalise you any longer, I will tell you.

I stopped in Agdz on Friday for lunch. I randomly selected a small food stalI and ordered kefta. An explosion of flavours! I have never eaten anything so good and so tasty. Better than the ravioli from my father or the blanquette from my stepmother. By this admission, at that moment I was disinherited and denied by my family. So that this sacrifice is not in vain, allow me the pleasure, if the opportunity to arises, to ask you to stop at Agdz and eat there.
