Katsepy can only be reached by crossing the bay of Bombetoka. To do this there are several solutions available: pirogue, boat or the "Baobab" ferry, which makes the crossing twice a day for a journey that takes about one hour. Once there, the area offers you some beautiful walks along the coast or inland... a must-do for walkers!
For a fine view of the mouth of the Betsiboka River and surrounding area, a short hike of approximately 8 km will bring you to the foot of a lighthouse that offers a spectacular panorama. Not far from the lighthouse is the reserve of Antrema, which is home to many plant and animal species: lemurs, reptiles, birds and a large number of plants. A visit to the reserve will also be the occasion to meet the Ampanjaka - the local prince of the Sakalava tribe.
