Lavanono is a small village in the far southwest of Madagascar.

My suggestion:
If you visit this region of Madagascar toward the end of the year, don't miss the "Talango Hare" festival that takes place in Ambovombe, which celebrates local customs with traditional music and dance.
My review

Cut off from the rest of the world by a huge chain of cliffs, the village was once only accessible by sea. Today, a track leads to Lavanono and allows you to discover Androy, called the "country of thorns" because of its vegetation consisting largely of the dry forests and thorny shrubs that are typical of the arid climate of this part of the island.

Apart from its vast beach several kilometres long and its perpetually warm water, Lavanono is also renowned as a surf spot. Located 20 kilometres from the village is the special nature reserve of Cap Sainte Marie, which shelters one of the largest concentrations of turtles in the world - about 3000 turtles per square kilometre!
