The Lemur Forest Camp, located in Ialasatra, is Franco-Malagasy family initiative. A group of persons wishing to work toward the protection of the biodiversity and environment in Madagascar have established this reserve to enable visitors to discover the great natural wealth of the region. Private management enables the site to avoid mass tourism - which is a very good thing indeed!

The altitude of the park varies between 1000 and 1500 metres and possesses the tropical rainforest that is typical of eastern Madagascar. The Lemur Forest Camp is home to six species of lemurs and seven species of chameleons. Ialasatra is also a haven for many birds and perhaps you'll be lucky enough to observe the magnificent blue coûa, the rock thrush or the Madagascan hoopoe... or to approach one of the baby boas of the reserve with no danger.

A visit to the Lemur Forest Camp is the opportunity to participate in the protection of the natural wealth of Madagascar!
