Ischia, the ugly duckling of the coast of Naples, is always in the shadow of the incredibly well-known Capri. Today, it's a place whose volcanic activity has made the opening of a large number of hotels and seaside resorts easier.

My suggestion:
It's not a good place if you're looking for a peaceful spot where you can relax, as it's full of people and noise.
My review

A few kilometres from Naples, Ischia salutes Vesuvius. The proof that the island is very pretty and photogenic is that numerous scenes from the famous film, "The Talented Mr. Ripley" were shot here.

Despite the fact that its landscapes are incredible, what didn't please me was that tourism is so developed that it's impossible to find a place to sit down: the white sandy beaches are saturated with deckchairs and parasols.

In any case, if you're in Ischia, don't miss out on the chance to try the spas, which are available for all budgets. Interesting detail: the hotels with spa options are generally more expensive that if you stay in more modest accommodation and then just pay the entrance fee for the spa.
