Tabgha is considered to be the place where the first Christian church was built in Galilee.

My suggestion:
Apart from the magnificent mosaics you should also see the first known baptismal fonts, which are cross shaped.
My review

If you are planing a trip to the Sea of Galilee during your trip to Israel, then you absolutely must go to Tabgha. It's best known for the mosaic of two fish and a basket of bread, which commemorates the Christian miracle of the bread and the fishes. Tabgha is the place where Galilee's first Christian church was built. The building has been destroyed and replaced by other buildings over the years. The latest is a church dating from the 1960s whose simple design really brings out the beauty of the mosaics which date from the 4th century C.E.

Even if you are not going there as a pilgrim, Tabgha is interesting because of the beauty of the mosaics and its historic importance.
