With a reputation for being the ideal honeymoon destination chosen by so many people, Croatia is packed with places to go for the ideal honeymoon getaway. Beaches, gardens, islands, historic buildings…: there is something here for everybody.
So you've got a date set for the wedding, you're planning your honeymoon, and you're thinking of Croatia. First-hand accounts from visitors mention many different spots which are perfectly suited to lovers honeymooning in this southern European country.
Croatia has any number of places to visit during a romantic get-away. The town of Split, for example, rich in nature and culture, charms its visitors in different ways. The same goes for Hvar, where certain historic quarters have been perfectly preserved and offer a unique chance for newlyweds spending time in the area to escape from it all. Lastly, if all you're looking for is a good area for walking, Solta is the ideal location.

If you're wanting to spend your honeymoon by the waves, the islands around Croatia have some incredible beaches. The rocky island of Host, located a few minutes away by boat from the port of Vis, will give you all the privacy you need on its huge beach; 120 metres long and 36 metres wide.
From Split you can get to the island of Hvar, yet another place with a romantic reputation.
Generally speaking, the west coast of Croatia is full of beaches.
