Newlyweds on honeymoon in Croatia

With a reputation for being the ideal honeymoon destination chosen by so many people, Croatia is packed with places to go for the ideal honeymoon getaway. Beaches, gardens, islands, historic buildings…: there is something here for everybody.

Croatia has any number of places to visit during a romantic get-away. The town of Split, for example, rich in nature and culture, charms its visitors in different ways. The same goes for Hvar, where certain historic quarters have been perfectly preserved and offer a unique chance for newlyweds spending time in the area to escape from it all. Lastly, if all you're looking for is a good area for walking, Solta is the ideal location.

For people who love the sea

If you're wanting to spend your honeymoon by the waves, the islands around Croatia have some incredible beaches. The rocky island of Host, located a few minutes away by boat from the port of Vis, will give you all the privacy you need on its huge beach; 120 metres long and 36 metres wide.

From Split you can get to the island of Hvar, yet another place with a romantic reputation.

Generally speaking, the west coast of Croatia is full of beaches.

Croatia is better at nature conservation than many other European countries. There is a varied landscape with a backdrop of mountains, hills and forests. This diverse country provides the perfect escape into a land of sea, mountains and countryside. If you are both still unsure what you would like do on your holiday, Croatia has a wealth of activities on offer.


Croatia is a honeymoon destination famous for its hospitality. You can have a romantic holiday in the most idyllic surroundings. The lighthouse on Host island is one such place. Dubrovnik also offers many wonderful places for a perfect honeymoon in Croatia.

Photogenic Croatia has many little places to take superb photos from any angle. With its setting of turquoise sea, historic buildings and rising hills Dubrovnik is just waiting to be photographed, to keep the memory of your wonderful honeymoon in southern Europe alive.
