One of the largest cities of Korea, situated in a basin surrounded by mountains.

My suggestion:
If you are not afraid of spicy dishes and have a strong stomach, try out the local specialities, which are even spicier here than elsewhere, in particular the jjimbalgi and the bulgogi.
My review

The region of Daegu sharply contrasts with the city itself. It is a largely agricultural area where I saw a multitude of rice paddies, but also mountains, waterfalls, rivers, etc. The place is ideal for hiking, Palgongsan Natural Park in particular. During your walks through the heart of the park, you will come across the Buddhist temples and pagodas that are scattered through the forest.

The natural medicine of Yangnyeongsi is highly renowned, and the cultural centre dedicated to this type of care helped me learn more about natural plant-based remedies, but also to test their therapeutic treatments, such as herbal massages. Children, too, will be delighted because a floor is devoted to initiating them to medicinal herbs and their use.
