Santa Cruz is a town in the Philippines, situated to the south of Manila, on the other side of the Bay lagoon.

My suggestion:
It's not geared to mass tourism - more a place to hang out or enjoy its festivals.
My review

Santa Cruz isn't anything special in itself. It's a typical Filipino town - noisy, stressful, traffic-laden... In short, there's not much to do, even outside the town.

My only lasting memory is of the food. The cuisine here is worth every mouthful! I highly recommend the Kesong Puti or the buffalo cheese - a regional speciality. It's so good that it has its own festival. Held around 10th April, it's a food festival that pays special tribute to this cheese, a true local delicacy.

The town hosts other festivals, including the Laguna and Jazz Festivals, which, if you're there at the time, could make a stay worthwhile.
