Shimla (India)

Ah! What a joy it is on a stay in India to come to Shimla in the winter to ski and watch Indians learning to ski! It provides good, crazy laughter in perspective.

I still remember people in rented fake fur coats taking turns at the bottom of the slopes offering their services to amateur skiers, and the funny attractions of all types for the tourists on the slopes. 

Beware however,, don't expect a big ski resort like in the French Alps! India has only recently begun to develop mountain sports, but there are a few slopes and ski lifts so you can have some fun taking advantage of the Himalayan snow. A totally unusual and offbeat getaway during a trip to India!
