During my trip to India, I enjoyed Dibrugarh because I was very excited by the idea of going to Arunachal Pradesh the following day. You feel good in Dibrugarh, it's an open city of India and of the Tribal States of the North-East. There are a number of employees from all over India who come to work here.
Objectively, this city isn't very grand, but I was happy to sleep in a nice bed, to shower, to be able to use the Internet, to print my permit for Arunachal Pradesh and to go for a drink after a month spent in Meghalaya, Assam and Nagaland.
It's also the perfect place to hire a drive and share a jeep for a trip in the Arunachal Pradesh. You can also go there by public transport but it will take a considerable amount of time and you will miss certain remote places.
