My review
The small village of Fira with its elongated shape and narrow winding streets running parallel to the cliff, is found on the idyllic island of Santorini. One the things I remember best is that to go to the port of Fira, you can either walk down (588 steep steps) or take the cable car, which is I what I chose.
To plan and organise your visit to Santorini you will find the main bus station in Fira and you can go wherever you want from here. So if you do not wish to hire a car, staying in Fira is your best option.
Also, I have to say that Fira is the place in Santorini where I had the best times with the local people. Even if Oia is prettier, Fira is more authentic.
