I was invited by a friend to her family's home in Ithaki and decided if I was going to travel to Greece, I would like to take some extra time and visit other locations. I am disabled and walk with a crutch so having some comforts and conveniences were needed. Once I left Ithaki and arrived in Athens, my intinerary with Albert at HTG began. There were 2 nights in Athens, 2 nights in Mykonos, 3 nights in Paros, 3 nights in Chania,Crete and a final night in Athens before returning to the US.
The areas I visited and the hotels selected were absolutely wonderful and made this trip a true once in a lifetime never will forget trip.
From the initial planning phases, Albert listened to my needs and desires for the trip. I had asked a few different organizations for quotes and suggested itineraries, but Albert's was by far the best and it was easy talking to him. My itinerary was extremely organized, it was easy to find the drivers and transportation. But my favorite had to be the hotels Albert selected. I felt like I was in a dream. Everything had either a pool or very easy access to a beach. Not only that, but the hotel staff were very kind and helpful at every destination.
One was the driver in Mykonos who gave my backpack to another group he had dropped off. I was extremely upset as it had my ferry tickets, medications, and electronics. He ended up having to return to the hotel where the group was staying and returned it, but there were only 3 people on the shuttle and my bag was on my luggage yet he still gave it to the other group.
The other was with respect to the ferry where both the vessel and time of departure was different from the ticket I received. I learned this is a common occurrence, but honestly had no clue whether my ticket was usable.
I want to say that when I was in that situation, I found a friend who helped me. But once I reached out to Albert, he was extremely responsive and provided support.
