Alxa Youqi

Located in Inner Mongolia, on the road between Zhangye and Wuwei, Alxa Youqi is the gateway to the famous Badain Jaran Desert, the third largest in China with an area of 49,000 square kilometers.

Liuzhou

Liuzhou is the 2nd biggest city in the province of Guangxi, in the extreme south of China, on the border with Vietnam.

Chawu

Situated Anhui Province, a few hours east of Shanghai, Chawu is a Ming Dynasty village dating from the 14th Century and is, today, inhabited by the Hans people.

Idara

In South China's Xinjiangun Province, on the border with Pakistan, there is a Kyrghy village called Idara, where around thirty families live.

Harbin

Harbin is the capital of Heilongjiang Province, which is located in Manchuria, in the north of China. It serves as an important economic, scientific, political and cultural center for northeastern China. The people there speak a local dialect specific to the region.
