Yerevan's symbolic library, the Matenadaran, houses one of the best collections of written Medieval works in the world.

My suggestion:
The museum is closed on Sunday and Monday so I suggest you adapt your tour of Armenia accordingly.
My review

The Matenadaran is a highly symbolic museum in the centre of Yerevan which houses an irreplaceable and priceless collection of Medieval books and manuscripts. As well as a huge collection of works in Armenian, the Matenadaran also has numerous manuscripts in languages from all over the world.

If you decide to take a guided tour, in English, a visit to the museum lasts about an hour and a half. Don't expect to spend time in dusty rooms filled with old texts, the book that you can see are mainly under glass and well preserved. Nevertheless, a visit to the Matenadaran made me understand how rich and important the collection is, and how many of these writings have been lost all over the world because of wars, invasions or religious conflicts.

Focus on a work conserved in the Matenadaran
