With a population of 6,000, <strong>Odzoun is a traditional, picturesque town</strong>, famous for a magnificent monastery that was built between the 5th and 7th Centuries.</p> <p>This lavish, stone-built monastery boasts incredible arched arcades that run along its sides. You'll also find a funerary monument by the church that's said to promote fertility! I spent the night at Odzoun so that I could explore the region and I have to say I really appreciated the peace and quiet;  I highly recommend a trip to Odzoun to travellers <a href="/armenia/">touring this part of Armenia</a>. </p>
