Take the time for a boat trip on the city's canals!
170 km from Ho Chi Minh, Can Tho is in the heart of the Mekong delta. It's a prosperous town that is developing quickly but it's a pleasant place to stay.
My suggestion
Just like every town on the banks of the Mekong, I recommend you spend a day floating on the river and wandering the markets. The one at Can Tho is the most beautiful of the delta.
