Depart from Madrid, pick up the rental car at Madrid Airport, and head to Toledo. Drive time: 1h.
Toledo, Spain's former capital until 1560 (then Madrid), is entirely listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers a rare panorama and heritage. This two-millennia-old city has managed to provide a peaceful setting for the major religions. You'll be astonished as you move from the cathedral to ancient mosques and synagogues—a journey through time where all these cultures complemented each other! It is also in Toledo that El Greco produced most of his works.
Nights in a 3* hotel in the historic center.
A cultural pass that lets you discover Toledo's must-see sites at your own pace and with complete freedom.
Included entries: Santa María La Blanca Synagogue, Church of El Salvador, Santo Tomé Church, Cristo de la Luz Mosque, San Juan de los Reyes Monastery, Jesuit Church (San Ildefonso), and the Royal College of Noble Ladies.
Suggested additional visit: El Greco House-Museum and the Synagogue of El Tránsito.

Depart from Toledo to Trujillo - Drive time: 2h.
You leave Castile for Extremadura, a region off the beaten path where the heart of authentic, rural Spain beats. It's also the region where the famous Iberian black pig is raised! In the middle of meadows shaded by cork oaks, you can spot pigs grazing semi-freely—pigs that will follow an acorn-based diet to produce the famous "Jamón Ibérico de Bellota." This is a region that deserves to be discovered!
Optional: Private visit to a pig farm, with tastings of jamón, cheese, and wines.
Nights in a 3* hotel in the historic center.
Trujillo is famous for being the birthplace of many conquistadors, including Francisco Pizarro, who played a crucial role in the conquest of America. Upon their return, these explorers built magnificent palaces around the Plaza Mayor, which remains the beating heart of the town. The square is lined with historic buildings, including the Church of Santa María la Mayor, a masterpiece of religious architecture.
Surrounded by walls, the old town of Cáceres is a labyrinth of narrow lanes and picturesque squares. It is home to palaces, churches, and towers that bear witness to its rich past, also connected to the Romans.
Optional: Private visit with an expert guide.
Depart from Trujillo to Évora - Drive time: 2h20.
Mérida is a must-visit destination for history and culture lovers. Its Roman remains, historic monuments, and festivals make it a unique city where past and present meet harmoniously. Don't miss the Roman theatre and its amphitheater, as well as the National Museum of Roman Art.

Take part in a guided visit in English, then taste two glasses of wine.
Included: Tasting and visit in English.
