Ghaub is a location with a farm which is still in use and which has enormous caves, allegedly the third biggest caves in the country.

My suggestion:
During your trip to Namibia, it is a pleasant stopover if you want to either visit the caves or spend the night. It is also possible to explore the property on foot, with hikes leading up to the mountains.
My review

If you come from the east to visit Etosha park, a break in the Otavi mountains and especially Ghaub farm is a good stopover point.

I went there by chance, after having heard there were caves to visit. The area is quite surprising as it is very green for Namibia. The caves are situated on private land, a farm which also provides accommodation. There is a beautiful lawn and many sorts of trees, it is well maintained and welcoming!

In Ghaub, it is possible either to just visit the caves (paid entry) as well as the vast property or to extend your visit and spend the night there. I just did the visit which lasts around 2 hours. Remember to take something warm to put on, it is always cold and damp in the caves, otherwise everything else is provided and someone takes you to the caves as they are on the property but not next to the buildings.
