Located 140 kilometres away from Agadir, Mirleft is a small town between the Atlantic Ocean and the Lesser Atlas Mountains.

From Agadir, the road which goes along the coast is particularly pleasant! I made the most of it to stop off and buy some argan oil from a company, the perfect place to get some given that it's here that this precious oil is produced. 
In the surroundings you can visit Sidi Ifni and go to one of the most beautiful beaches in Morocco, the red beach at Legzira. It's best to go there during low tide to enjoy the four amazing archways which the ocean goes through, a remarkably beautiful site which has not yet been invaded by tourists.
After having visited the beautiful city of<a href="/morocco/">Sidi Ifni</a> further to the south, I was happy to sleep in Mirleft. The majority of guest houses and hotels are by the sea and offer a lovely view over the ocean. It's also a surfing spot that I didn't manage to try out, due to a lack of time, but it's only a matter of time until I get round to it.
