4/5ths of Borneo island belong to Indonesia and the rest to Malaysia and Brunei.

My suggestion:
Take the risk of going on the beautiful hike of Muller mountain.
My review

The Indonesian part of Borneo is called Kalimantan. This geopolitical specificity of the island brings a social and cultural richness unique in all Indonesia.

In Borneo, I did not miss out on discovering the magnificent seabeds of Sipadan or Derawan where turtles go when it is time for them to lay their eggs. Generally speaking, the island's fauna and flora are particularly rich. Amongst other things, I discovered the famous black orchid of Borneo in Kersik Luway forest.

During A visit to Indonesia , families with children will be delighted to go to Tanjung Puting National Park, where they will be able to see orang-utans in one of three rehabilitation camps for this species that is dying out.
