Liukan Island, a completely disconnecting experience, is a small-sized island located in Indonesia with the quickest link to it being a 15 minute boat ride.

My suggestion:
Take along a good book to read on the beach, it is the best possible pastime you can think of here!
My review

In the course of my travels, I have had the opportunity to visit a few paradisiacal islands. Liukan, located in Indonesia, is a mini-island that can be accessed from the famous Tanjung Bira beach. On arrival, you will see that there is no traffic here and very little accommodation on offer. What is most surprising, however, is that you will find two mosques here.

I must admit that during my stay on the island, I was a bit bored, for apart from snorkelling or resting on the beach, there is not much else to do. For this reason, I think that a few days is a good option, but I am glad that I did not stay longer. I liked the Gili Islands better for they offered more in the way of entertainment and night life.
