Kumai River brings water, the source of life, to the adjacent jungle zone. It is also a good way to throw yourself into the life of the wild.

My suggestion:
Be respectful of the orang-outangs, even though they are hardly aggressive, they are nevertheless unpredictable wild animals, with superhuman strength.
My review

Aboard the boat and going across Borneo Island on the Kumai River, I felt like an authentic explorer or cartographer from another age. I was impressed by the richness of the fauna and flora. I was able to observe tropical palms of an incredible green which contrast with the blue of the sky and the opaque brown of the murky river water.

Should the beauty of the landscape not be motivation enough, you will also see roaming freely, the island's most famous animals: the orang-outangs. It is a real pleasure to see these russet coloured creatures jump from tree to tree, and if like me you are lucky, you might even see mothers with their offspring attached either to their back or to their tummy.

When all is said and done, this is an experience on the famous island of Borneo that I strongly recommend.
