I loved the village of Jinka, it was very authentic, especially on a Saturday market day. You will see the Mursi who come from their village to sell their wares. On the other days, you must visit them in the Mago National Park.
Go to the national park office to complete all the formalities. The main purpose of staying in Jinka is to visit the research centre, the South Omo Research Center, where anthropologists working in the area are based. For me it is quite simply the best place to learn everything about the tribes living in the area.
In the museum, you will see the lifestyles, cultures, traditions, rituals and belief systems of each tribe. There is a fine collection of everyday objects: clothing, jewellery, crafts.... Definitely not to be missed!
