<p>Palomino is a veritable little piece of heaven on earth and definitely a place to add to <a title="Colombia itinerary">your Colombia itinerary</a> if you want to spend a little time just relaxing and taking things easy.</p> <p>I'm not a big fan of the beach, but I did want to at least take a peak at the Caribbean coast, and preferably by visiting somewhere well away from the crowds. It's for this reason I ended up choosing Palomino: <strong>a very quiet, peaceful little town</strong> lying just outside Tayrona National Park and where it's not unusual to find you have the long white sandy beach all to yourself.</p> <p>The drawback is that there are very strong currents in the sea, which makes swimming and bathing difficult, unless you happen to have a pool at your hotel that is. In fact what I did was spend long hours on the beach with my head buried in a book!</p>
