Dehang or "pretty canyon" in the Miao dialect, nestles in the heart of the mountains in the west of Hunan province. This village is an enchanting place to stop for travelers who want to explore the region.

My review

I love the houses on stilts, 9 Dragon stream which goes through the town, and the arched bridge

A tourist village, with pretty stalls for travelers on the main street. If you want something a bit quieter, simply go down one of the adjacent alleys and you'll feel in touch with the place. The inhabitants have preserved their dress and their traditions: weaving, irrigation...photographers are happy to see that time stands still here.

Around Dehang, the 9 Dragons and Liusha waterfalls (216 meters) are absolute must sees. Wherever you look you are surrounded by virgin forest and rocky peaks. For a unique panorama, climb to the top of Mount Pangu, 700 meters high.
