Mount Tianmen, which in Chinese means "the mountain that is the door to heaven" is in the north west of Hunan.

My suggestion:
Don't miss: Tianmen's Buddhist temple, which is accessible on foot or by chairlift.
My review

The breathtaking peaks, forests, and cliffs make up a marvelous park that you can explore on foot if you are brave enough, or by cable car if you're in more of a hurry.

The tourist guides claim that Mount Tianmen's cable car is "the longest high-mountain cable car in the world". It is 7.5 km long and drops 1,279 meters (at an angle of 37° in places), and flies over part of Zhangjiajie and its vertiginous rock formations.

The park's entrance is an enormous natural arch in the rock. From there, you can walk paths that go up along the cliffs and through sections in clear glass. Guaranteed to make your heart beat faster!
