Danian is a small Miao village in the north of Guangxi province.

My review

Zhaoxing is one of the most isolated villages in this mountainous region, and above all somewhere you go to start a trek. It's the ideal place for those who love to find out about people who have kept to their traditions, especially as the Miao culture is based on hospitality and friendliness, which makes a stay with them particularly pleasant.

Danian is also home to "Couleurs de Chine " (a French charity), which pays for the schooling of children and which will be happy to show you their work if you contact them in advance.

Around this village there are magnificent mountain landscapes and rice terraces where you can take part in the work. You can also help with embroidery, weaving and basket making.

In the surrounding area there are also Dong and Yao villages like Chengyang, Fulu, Guilin, Zhaoxing, Ping'an, andLongti.
