Situated in Guangdong Province, in southern China, Gaotian is known for its stunning landscape; a photogenic paradise awaits.

My suggestion:
I suggest you take a bike ride along the road linking Yangshuo and Gaotian, a 10km or so route that will take you through charming villages, green hills and rice fields.
My review

Gaotian and its surrounds boast at least 20 sites that are a photographer's dream ! There's the 1,400 year old Big Banian Tree, Smokey Hill and Moon Hill, to name a few. The latter has a huge, naturally formed hole in its side that resembles a crescent moon against the sky. A stunning sight!

As for the Baisha Valley it leads directly to the Li River. Huge, pinnacled limestone rocks soar towards the heavens. At sundown, soft light casts stunning, glittering reflections across their flanks.
