Xingyi is a city located in China's Guizhou Province. It lies on the border with Yunnan, which means it is situated between two magnificent regions, both visited by relatively few tourists.

My review

Though the city itself has little of interest to offer, it does provide easy access to the lush, scenic area around it. The landscapes here are characterized by impressive, limestone domes, breathtakingly steep gorges, dense vegetation and numerous waterfalls: there are almost 100 in the famous Maling River Gorge, just seven kilometers from Xingyi.

All along the river, which can be traveled down by raft. there is a succession of wonderful viewpoints. Fans of works of art will definitely want to photograph one of the highest freeways in the world. At one point, the road crosses a one kilometer long, 241 meter high suspension bridge.
