Moremi Game Reserve is a protected zone in the western Okavango Delta, which includes, among other things, the major island of the delta, Chief's Island and the Moremi language. It spans close to 5000km², of which only 30% is dry land.

My suggestion:
Combine safaris in a 4x4, on foot and in a "mokoro" (a canoe) to see all parts of the reserve.
My review

I loved the private reserve in Moremi ! Firstly, for the diversity of the wildlife I saw there. I was lucky enough to visit between June and October, during the dry season, when the islands are well marked due to the the delta which has dried a little from the heat. So the animals are very tightly packed on dry land, making it very easy to spot groups of buffaloes and elephants.

I was astonished to see so many leopards (usually difficult to spot!) and amazed when observing wild dogs, rarely seen elsewhere.

X=What I really appreciated about this reserve was the real ecological management of the place, even in the luxurious spots. Even if Chief's Island is reserved for top-of-the-range camps, I really liked the bush camps in South Gate, Third Bridge, Xakanaxa; a campfire atmosphere with unnerving sounds of wild animals is guaranteed in the evening!
