Płock lies northwest of Warsaw, and its location on the banks of the Vistula makes it a very nice and pleasant city.

My suggestion:
To enjoy breathtaking views over the Vistula, try to get as high up in the city as you can.
My review

For me, the city of Płock is one of the essential places to see when visiting Poland. Not having travelled around the whole country, I am not familiar with every town and city in Poland. However, I don't believe I'm mistaken when I say that the panoramic views Płock offers over the Vistula, the country's main river, are amongst the most beautiful you can hope to see anywhere in Poland.

Płock actually stands on the banks of this river, which makes it a very pleasant city in which to go walking. There are also various places for you to see as you wander around. I was lucky enough to visit Płock Cathedral, with its truly magnificent architecture.
