Bantayan Island is fairly easy to access and it has numerous tourist attractions.
I liked the monuments in the city of Bantayan, and also Santa Fe. For me, this island is still a haven of peace, with few travellers and the locals are very smiling and welcoming (far from the manipulators some have become, in other parts of the Philippines, with the proximity of hordes of tourists). There are luxurious beaches, caves and monuments to visit. In addition, I tasted the best seafood of my <a href="/philippines/">trip to the Philippines here</a>
The visit to Virgin Island is also worth the detour, even if the majority of the coral was destroyed during typhoon Yolanda, but you can now see nature is starting to come back there. And like all of the Philippines, the underwater animal life is very rich.
