Our trip comprised time in Lima; a brief stop on the coast at Paracas; the Nazca/ Palpa lines; hiking in the Colca Canyon; Puno and Lake Titicaca; Cusco; the 4-day Inca Trail trek and Machu Picchu; the Sacred Valley; and finally the Rainforest near Porto Maldonado We enjoyed all the locations and the diversity as we traveled along but probably the highlight was the Inca Trail trek and Machu Picchu. The sights and the experience was incredible, made even better by Rene our guide and the group of porters We also very much enjoyed visiting Cusco. The architecture was interesting and the city had a very relaxed feel to it
Best parts:
The organisation of our trip to Peru was excellent ... from the planning and help provided by Jonas, our representative, to the punctuality and knowledge of the friendly and helpful local guides. As we traveled to various locations through Peru, we got a broad insight into Peruvian life, the people and the culture
Worst parts:
As we are not generally early risers, we found early mornings and long bus journey's to be a challenge but as we were there to see as much as possible in the three weeks, we made the most of this full-on trip Also, the conditions at ************, the final camp on the Inca Trail. After hiking 19km over two passes, we were looking forward to basic but reasonably clean facilities, but it was overcrowded with very poor toilet and shower facilities

We have chosen Peru as our holiday destination because of good comments from friends and out of own interest. Our trip was limited to the southern region of Peru: Lima (short visit), Arequipa, Chivay, Colca Valley, Puno, lake Titikaka, Cusco, Machu Picchu, the rainbow mountain and the rainforest in Puerto Maldonado. The travel distances are sometimes long and early wake-ups in the morning are not exceptional, but the country is worth the effort ! Peru offers a well balanced mixture of history, culture, nature and local lifestyle. The well informed and friendly guides made it all even more attractive. Too many pleasant and interesting things to be mentioned in a brief summary...
Best parts:
Very pleasant and interesting trip, we enjoyed it a lot ! Peru has a lot to offer: amazing history and culture, excellent traditional food, splendid nature, friendly people, ...

Peru is quite an adventure with lots to see lots to do and lots to learn.we found it very interesting to see the lives of the incas and the so much more history that we knew when we were in school so we were amazed to actually experiencing Peru. Was really amazing
Best parts:
Our trip to Peru was an amazing one thanks to Jannik our agent he was excellent everything was perfect the tours the tour guides accommodation were very well organised I will definitely recommend Jannik to plan another trip for us. Thanks to jannik he really helped us in deciding some of the places that we should visit and we were quite happy with it.
Worst parts:
I think our only challenge was the language but we got through pretty OK in most cases.

Trip was ruined by the debacle we experienced on the Royal Inca trail
Best parts:
To visit Machu Picchu has been on my bucket list for some time. The Inca tribe as for some time been a major interest - this trip fulfilled both of these interests
Worst parts:
The Machu Picchu hike was the highlight of the tour as I have explained. When we arrived in Cusco we were greeted at the airport by Mario who gave us the info on our stay in Cusco and that at 7pm on that evening we were to briefed on the Royal Inca hike. No one from the agency deemed that briefing necessary. I had previously ascertained that we were to carry sufficient clothing and personal items for three days. this we did but without the benefit of the briefing AND WITH EXTEME BAD PLANNING ON THE PART OF PERUVIAN SUNRISE we were carrying 10KG on our backs the day we left for the trail. The itinerary states that we were to be picked up from the hotel at 06.45 but the agent James ( guiding in Ollantaytambo) called the agency on or behalf and informed us that the pick up was to be at 6.20 as a 6.45 pick up would see us miss the train to Machu Picchu. At 6.20 there was no evidence of a driver so I called the only number I had been given for emergency issues but that did not answer. At 6.40 a non-english speaking driver arrived and drove to the station - without one word either in English or Spanish being exchanged handed us two envelopes of documents and three bags of food for the hike - we were carrying the food for the guide as well- handed us his phone and the person on the other end of the phone spoke in Spanish which we did not understand - it transpired that he was talking English. At this point we did not even know when to alight the train. The bad planning referred is with all of the issue explained we were to be carrying all of our personal items for the entire trek where all the other trekkers had their personal items delivered to their hotels in Aguas Calientes The climb is at altitude and in rather hot conditions and we were carrying 10KG backpack and a food pack - also weighing significantly _ water, fruit etc. THIS PROVED TO BE A VERY DIFFICULT CLIMB AD A RESULT OF THE PLANNING/BRIEFING ISSUE AND SIGNIFICANTLY ERODED THE EXPERIENCE. There were three further errors /omissions on the itinerary regarding food inclusion/exclusion and timings but in comparison are less important. TH room allocated at P*** hotel was one of my worst experiences of hotel accommodation. It was possible to hear all bathroom activities and conversations from the adjacent room, briefings being held in reception were clearly audible in the room which also afforded great acoustics of a pack of local dogs chasing every passing car. Having complained to the guide we were given an excellent room - a move which was claimed as a customer service gesture instigated by Jannik? In Cusco a lunch was offered by way of apology in a restaurant which was being painted at the time of the lunch I had major issues with the lack of understanding with the local agent on specific flight issues regarding frequent flyer benefits i.e; airmiles and priority boarding. Prior to departure I asked Jannik to include our frequent flyer details on the flights so we could have priority boarding and receive the allocated miles; I was categorically informed that this was NOT possible. Some omnipotent power - ' the office' said that this was nor available. I confirmed with the carrier LATAM that we could avail these benefits with the simple inclusion of the frequent flyer numbers on the bookings. 'The office' had apparently informed the agent that I was wrong ( along with LATAM!) and at this time we would be denied these benefits. Suffice to say that at the check in on the first flight the agent from LATAM added the FF numbers and we were allocated priority seating and boarding and given the miles. I asked that the checking in process be left to me so that we could repeat the access to these benefits but ' the office'on both further occasions did the check ins - now insisting that frequent flyer details were added but on arrival at check-in we were told that the details were in fact missing - I had them added and have been credited the mikes and were given priority boarding
P & P's excellent Peru journey

The personal assistance of Vanessa from the local agency, and all of the contacts, drivers and tour guide. On schedule, very minor hold ups (delay at pick up in Cusco , due to plane arrival info) that was quickly remediated and followed up by Vanessa
Best parts:
I would recommend extra time in Cusco and surrounding area, for history buffs, art and architecture lovers. great food, also for those wanting true close contact with native cultures, and native food. great exercise and quality people abound .
Worst parts:
thought Lima was too crowed , but Miraflores district Beverly Hills like. after some time there, Approx. afternoon , night, and day, seemed like way more to explore. way more to see in a 10 million person city, with wide variety of options. and more expensive too.

We loved Cusco the most. We were looking forward to Maldonado, but unfortunately it rained during our entire stay which was very surprising to even the hotel staff. It’s wasn’t the rainy season at all.
Best parts:
1) The pace and schedule. When we went on our trip to Argentina last year our favourite part was the fact that from the minute we were escorted from the airport every day and every part of the trip seemed to get better and better. 2) The level of comfort and accommodation. We’re never uncomfortable with our stay, travel or guides. Whether we’re on a private tour or staying in a small town, were extremely comfortable with the standard. It’s not ever disappointing, nor is it extremely overwhelming. It’s the perfect mix of comfort and elegance with a little cultural exposure. 3) The quality of communication. In this particular case, my girlfriend had been making private arrangements with the travel agent to make my birthday have a few additional surprises. And everything was done with professionalism and a extremely caring attitude. My girlfriend was so happy that she was able to get everything she wanted without a fuss.
Worst parts:
Can’t think of anything.

My 15 year old son and I went to Peru. We did all the things he wanted and he and I were very satisfied.
Best parts:
I am an experienced traveler and gave Evaneos very specific places, goals, activities, and style of traveling. I also gave the same requests to other agencies. Evaneos, specifically Vanessa, understood my objectives and was very patient with my 50 requests and variations. They were also more competitively priced then other agents and in line with me doing it all myself. It's pretty nice having people there at each point to follow through on each part of the trip.
Worst parts:
the worst part was that the accommodations where a bit too nice i like more local places but frankly it was pretty nice to have these nice accommodations.

Lima--> Arequipa--> Colca Canyon--> Puno--> Cusco--> Agua Calientes--> Puerto Maldonado Arequipa....simply delightful........monastery was unexpected and wonderful The mountains and volcanoes....just amazing...even the altitude! Colca Canyon.....condors...one of life's perfect moments Cusco....delightful city and so much to do. We could happily live there. Short Inca trail and Machupicchu....even better than I had imagined and we had high expectations. Puerto !Maldonado.......we are in love with the jungle.... Please don't let tour companies spoil it by turning the field stations into luxury hotels.
Best parts:
Excellent holiday. We commented that everyday we were there there was something wonderful and exciting. All the guides were excellent, especially Dina who travelled with us from Arequipa to Colca Canyon.....the differences between lamas, alpaca and vicuña will stay with us forever !!! Benja, who did the Inca trail with us was also amazing. A big thank you too to Diego who was so supportive and helpful when our daughter was unwell :)) Our family vote this one of the best holidays we have ever had. Thank you so so much.
Worst parts:
Leaving Peru. The long coach journeys were tough at times as we are prone to travel sickness but these were made easier by the regular stops......there is nothing that Evaneos could have done to help with this! Finding bottled water at a reasonable price! It would be helpful if at each new destination, especially when you get off a flight, a bottle of water could be provided. When we travelled with Evaneos in India this was done and was much appreciated. It would even be fine to have a large bottle that everyone could top up their own from. Getting breakfast with early starts....some hotels are great and will give you a sandwich and piece of fruit and a drink....others, particularly the one in Agua Calientes were difficult.....not ideal when getting up at 3 .30 to stand in the bus queue.

We had a wonderful time in Peru over the course of 6 days. It was a hastily arranged trip, but the team at Peruvian Sunrise were absolutely amazing. They took care of every single detail and met with us in almost every step of the way. We could not ask for any better service. We achieved all our objectives with this trip thanks to them.
Best parts:
The sights of Peru that we visited were spellbinding.
Worst parts:
Nothing. I loved everything

Peru is amazing, but to have a great experience it's important to choose right. After long searching, we took the best decision to travel through Evaneos which really chose the best local agency in Peru: Fiorella's agency. Fiorella, our local agent helped us to design a very beautiful experience in Peru starting with Lima, then Rainforest (Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion - Puerto Maldonado), Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Lake Titikaka. Since the first day, we only had very nice experiences wherever we went: hotels, transport, food, trips. It was a no worries trip where everybody took care of us so our only 'worry' being to enjoy Peru's beauty at maximum. We are thinking to return someday in Peru, and if so we will definitely choose the same travel agency.
Best parts:
The best.... it's hard to choose, but if I have to: we loved the jungle, the Rainforest, the experience at Inkaterra Hacienda Conception: the guide, Victor, very well prepared and very friendly; the restaurant : we enjoyed the best food in Peru ( crème de la crème) and stayed in a private bungalow with a lagoon view that gave us the chance to see the wildlife, the birds and nature beauty of the jungle from our room.
Worst parts:
Our experience with Evaneos through Firoella's agency was very good.... nothing to complain about

Our trip started in Lima, where we spent a few days to sample the city culture visiting the historic centre and the tourist area of Mirafloris. We then caught a bus down to Paracas to spend a day on the beach in Paracas and then a speed boat trip to the fabulous Islas Bellestas. Then we flew to Puerto Maldonados to spend two nights in the rain forest at the Inkaterra Hiciendas Conception, truly beautiful place, wonderful guides and very atmospheric. Did not see as much wildlife as I expected in the jungle though. Then it was off to Machu Picchu via the scared valley, the scenery was unbelievable , and Machu Picchu lived up to all expectations. The last few days was in Cusco, but the altitude contributed to feeling very tired the last day! The Agency were our guides through out the trip, and it all ran like clockwork , they were excellent
Best parts:
To see a vast variety of different places in Peru, from Rain Forest , to Peaks, to beaches and cities.
Worst parts:
Feeling of altitude sickness in Cusco

we really enjoyed the holiday and everything was well organised and went like clock work. Very have happy with the responsivness of the agent and he sorted out a question of park entry fees while we were on holiday in a quick and efficient manner. I would recommend him to others.
Best parts:
We saw everything that we wanted, and the trip went very smoothly
Worst parts:
More info about the basic accomodation in Bolivia. In our case basic was no hot water, no towels, basic bedding and a shared room with six people in it. This was not made clear to us what basic meant.

exploration and sight seeing were top priorities including sand dunes, wine production, Amazonian rain forest, Machu Picchu, walking around the Inca capital of Cusco, volcano and condor country, Lake Titicaca, the salt flats and Siloli desert in Bolivia, and the world's most dangerous road bike descent.
Best parts:
a fabulous trip to Peru and Bolivia encompassing many fantastic days in wonderful scenery with helpful guides and a very efficiently run programme.
Worst parts:
one taxi driver and one guide were slightly substandard - that is all, and not bad for 22 day all action trip.
