Gandrhuk is a stopover in the Annapurna (ACAP) conservation area and there are numerous trails that lead from the village into the surrounding countryside.
My suggestion:
The village has several ACAP exhibits and it's worth taking the time to see the positive actions that this non-profit organisation has undertaken in the region.
My review
I stopped at the village of Ghandruk, between Birethani and Nayapul, during my return leg of the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. Ghandruk is one of Nepal's most important Gurung villages. This ethinic group live in the mountains around the Pokhara Valley and, for the most part, make a living off the land.
If you're tired of walking, the shortest route back to Pokhara is the one to the south that leads to Kimche and later reaches Nayapul. If your energy levels are still running high and you're on a sporting holiday, then you can extend your hike by heading towards Tadapani to reach Ghorepani and the Poon Hill Trek. You need to follow the trail on the western side of the village. Happy Trekking!

Ghandruk is one of the most important villages on the Annapurna treks.
My suggestion:
If you are not spending the night in Ghandruk, you should still take the time to visit this charming village.
My review
I stopped off at Ghandruk during my day of walking between Tadapani and Landruk on the Annapurna Balcony trek.
As a trekking amateur, you will pass a lot of other fellow walkers here on their way to or on their way back from the Annapurna Balcony or sanctuary. The view from the village over Annapurna South (7219m) and the Fishtail (6993m) is magnificent.
With its houses decorated with flowers, its children on the way to school, its donkeys loaded with supplies, I really appreciated the atmosphere of this little village where you can really feel the local life in comparison to other stop off points where you pass mainly hikers.
Gourmet eaters bored of the traditional Nepalese dhal bhat will be happy with the German bakery located in the middle of the village!
