A little village in the heart of the Kakheti vines, near Telavi. Made up of houses surrounded with green gardens covered with arbours, it's a nice place to stay if you want to visit Kakheti.

My suggestion:
Only 3 km away you can see the magnificent church of Ikalto, one of the most beautiful in Kakheti, a former academy which was one of the biggest intellectual centres in Georgia during the middle ages.
My review

Vardisubani is a small village in Kakheti on the cross roads of the road from Tbilisi to Telavi, which goes through Gombori Pass, and the main route of the region which goes from Telavi to Akhmeta

There are no particular monuments at Vardisubani. It's a typical Kakheti town, surrounded by vineyards, on the road between Telavi and Akhmeta. From the sides of the Gombori Moutains, where the village is located, the view of the Dagestan mountains is wonderful.

Vardisubani has a hotel and some guesthouses which specialise in oenology and Kakheti wines. For me, the calm, green, authentic setting made it the perfect base for exploring the region of Telavi. The village is 5 minutes by car from the capital of Kakheti, and also close to other major sites in the region like Ikalto Church, the Shuamta monasteries or Alaverdi Cathedral.
