I love Cachi both for its unique setting in the heart of the Andean foothills with its snow-capped peaks, as well as its peaceful side, away from the tourist route. Its stone houses, cobbled streets and exceptional panorama make it a perfect place to stop during your <a href="/argentina/">stay in north-western Argentina</a>.
The roads leading to Cachi also provide some breathtaking landscapes. Between Cafayate and Cachi, you go through the beautiful Quebrada de las Flechas, a succession of large, ochre-coloured rocks that tower toward the sky. An unforgettable memory!
Between Salta and Cachi there is a change of scenery. In Los Cardones National Park, the cactuses stretch as far as the eye can see on either side of the road, some of them reaching an immense height. The view reminded me of <a href="/mexico/">Mexico</a>.
