I discovered the little village of Sacré-Cœur on <a href="/canada/">a trip around Canada</a> and found myself charmed by its traditional authenticity. It's a less touristy place than Tadoussac, which lies just a few kilometres away.  Whilst there we went to dine in an inexpensive family restaurant located across from the village church. We got the chance to enjoy a couple of the area's local specialities: 'guedille', a slice of bread with topping accompanied by salad and French fries; and 'galvaude', a 'poutine' (French fries and cheese curds covered in a gravy-like sauce) with chicken breast meat and petits pois. 
 The following day we visited Baie-Sainte-Marguerite to see the famous belugas. After an easy walk of less than an hour from the park entrance, we arrived at the lookout point, from where we had the wonderfully enjoyable experience of seeing several belugas. We were quite amazed by these completely white creatures, and we stayed watching them for almost an hour on what was a gloriously sunny day.
