Laguna Sorapata is a lake located in Sajama National Park in Bolivia's Oruro region.

My suggestion:
Get up at dawn so you can see the geysers at Sajama in action.
My review

Our destination on this trip was Laguna Sorapata, which lies in Sajama National Park in Bolivia's Oruro region.

We began our journey early in the morning. In order to see the geysers near the lake in action, you basically have to get up at dawn, when the boiling water turns to vapour on contact with the cold early-morning air.

After watching these impressive natural vents for a while, it was time for us to head on to Laguna Sorapata. Along the way we came across quite a few Andean llamas, which tend to blend inconspicuously into the local landscape, especially in the area around Laguna Khasiri. After a few hours on the road, we arrived at our destination. In its location at the foot of the 16,300 ft heigh Condoriri Grande, the blue of Laguna Sorapata contrasts sharply with the ochre of the steppes all around it. The tranquility of the place is disturbed only by the cries of a few birds.
