Is there any trekking enthusiast out there who hasn't dreamt of exploring the Cordillera Real in Bolivia? This mountain range, known both for its beautiful scenery and for its difficulty, is famous for its particularly impressive hiking trails. Please be aware that you'll need to be in excellent health if you want to cross the passes, some of which are located 4,000, 5,000 or even 6,000 metres above sea level.
The trekking routes in the Cordillera Real are very diverse. It all depends on your level, time and budget. Many of the trails were once used by the Tiwanaku people.
On a trek from La Paz, you can discover Laguna Wara Warani, which sits about 5,300 metres above sea level. While on this walk, you'll be able to explore the beautiful scenery made up of huge valleys, snowy peaks and translucent lagoons.
