Nicknamed the "lagoon of birds", Ajwani Lagooncan be explored during a trek in the Cordillera Real.

My suggestion:
Please be aware that going on a trek in the Cordillera Real requires good physical preparation, excellent health and a resistance to high altitudes.
My review

Ajwani Lagoon is a pretty lagoon located in the Cordillera Real. To explore it, I recommend trekking along the Bolivian mountain range. Please be aware that this trek, at high altitudes, is for more physically fit people and experienced Andean hikers. It's also ill-advised to set off on the adventure alone, without a guide.

According to the agencies, you can do an acclimatisation hike beforehand for 2 days, on the banks of Lake Titicaca. After 3 hours of driving from La Paz, we reached our first stopping place, Khotia Lagoon, located at an altitude of 4470m.

This lake was the starting point for our 15-day trek in the Bolivian Andes. After walking for 4 hours, we were slightly higher, at an altitude of 4720m. This is where the pretty Ajwani Lagoon is located. Andean birds come to drink in the deep blue waters. Exhausted from this first day of walking, it was time to set up camp. Our first night under the stars!
