From April to October
According to my guide, Sorata is one of the most beautiful Bolivian Andes villages and deserves for us to make a stop at it, especially if we feel like going on a few hikes. So I decide to stop there for 2 days before heading for Lake Titicaca.
Well, I am a bit disappointed to say the least! On arrival, I go to find out about the possibility of hiking and it seems quite complicated. The only way to go is accompanied by a guide and most of the hikes proposed require a minimum of 3-4 days, which is not my idea at all. In the end we manage to reach a compromise with a guide for a 4-5 hour outing the following morning. This leaves me the afternoon to do the tour of the village, unhurriedly. There is not much to do there, but this is precisely what does some good. I take this opportunity to rest in the little park on the main square, which leaves me to perceive the bustle of the village at leisure.
The next day, I get up early for my famous hike and... it is raining cats and dogs! Result, outing cancelled, all that for this... It does not matter, Copacabana and Lake Titicaca await me, so I decide to clear off sooner than planned!
