A deserted beach and hiking trail on the east coast of Rodrigues Island.

My suggestion:
Pointe-Coton is a famous point of departure for hikers. Leave from the bus stop for a hike of at least 2 hours along a 6-kilometre trail.
My review

Pointe-Cotton is one of the most charming places on Rodrigues Island. This village offers some beautiful landscapes and is a very pleasant place to wander around or to go for a dip in the sea. Its beach, which is almost always deserted, is among the most beautiful of the island. In short, Pointe-Cotton is the ideal place to recharge your batteries, whether you’re a sports enthusiast or prefer sunbathing and lazing on the beach.

The hiking trail, which leads from Pointe-Coton to Graviers, has more to offer than a simple walk. In fact, we preferred to alternate a few steps, a dip in the sea and a chat with the locals before continuing our walk. If you want to take another itinerary to discover the island of Rodrigues, you can also head for Port-Mathurin and do exactly the same kind of trail. That is the whole magic of the island!
