We landed in Rome and were picked up by a private van. We were dropped off at our hotel, and from there, we walked everywhere to tour the city, except when we did our night tour of Rome. We took a taxi to the Vatican, which our hotel helped to arrange, and we got a taxi to come back, which we were able to find ourselves very easily. We then left for Florence, where we picked up our rental car and drove straight through to Siena. Once we arrived in Siena, and got situated, we walked in to the city center everyday. It was rich full of history and culture. We loved the city center tremendously. We also drove to Montalcino and toured a vineyard, which was lovely, and we found a delicious restaurant and lots of fun things to do there. After five nights there, we drove back to Florence and returned the rental car. We stayed there one night and toured the city. We headed to Venice the next day and stayed for three days there, where we explored and had a magical time.
The best parts:
Most of our tour guides were INCREDIBLE and made the locations really come to life. Having a travel agency was the BEST! Our travel agent was so handy and incredibly resourceful. I will ALWAYS do our vacations this way. The itinerary was fantastic!
The worst parts:
The accommodations in Siena were very uncomfortable. The bed and couches were very old and not supportive at all. Dealing with jet lag, it was really important that we slept well. However, this wasn't possible for the five nights at that particular villa. Also, the daughter of the villa owner was pretty sassy, and we were not given proper instruction for accessing this villa (getting into the gate).

We were in Venice, Florence and Rome. Each of had been many times before. So the new cities were the most impressive. Lucca and Ostia Antica and Montepulciano. Andrea and one of the guides recommended an excellent restaurant in Lucca, *** in the basement of a castle. The food and atmosphere unexpected. Also in Lucca we managed to get tickets for a Puccini concert which was magnificent. A true highlight. Ostia Antica unbelievable. Mariapaola, our guide, had so much enthusiasm. Also true of our Forum and Colesseum guide, Dimo. He was thrilled we were so interested in the history and archeology of the sites. His passion was infectious.
The best parts:
The organization and administration by Andrea of ***. For us this was a very involved trip. Water taxis, trains, private cars, guides, hotels. We are experienced travelers and know how things can go wrong. Andrea had every aspect of the trip covered and made sure we understood what and where to be with maps and photos. It was fantastic. To say a two week trip went off without a hitch is to say a lot. God bless him. The private guides were first class and so very knowledgeable of their subject. We learned a lot.
The worst parts:
Tourists in Venice and Florence were unbelievable. We thought by going in October, we would have missed the crowd. Wrong. We were aware of the Bridges and steps in Venice and also Cinque Terre but perhaps it was a bit ambitious for 75 year olds. We did it but were exhausted every night. Wouldn’t have missed it though.

We had decided on Italy as it was a place my husband and I both had never been. The Italian coast was amazing. The excursions we had were beautiful. Each day was filled with new and exciting adventure and it was all planned out for us and organized very well! The food was amazing.
The best parts:
Our trip was the trip of a lifetime! Our trip really focused on all the places that we really had interest in seeing. The amalfi coast was truly amazing and we could not of traveled to a better place.
The worst parts:
The second hotel was in great location but was not the nicest hotel for swimming pool and amenities.

Florence was very busy. We would not do the food tour again on the first day as much of what we did was repeated later. We did choose this but a Hop On Hop Off bus may have been a better choice. We liked our day trips out. Our guide to Sienna was particularly good at looking after seniors. We liked the private pickups from Pisa to Florence and from Florence back to Pisa.
The best parts:
It was well organized. Enrico's planning was faultless. He delivered everything we asked for.
The worst parts:
Also, the train from PISA to Rome was a bit challenging given we had a lot of luggage and are older and there were lots of steps to navigate. We found it hard to find the ****** Hotel ********* as there was another ****** Hotel close by. Once we found the right hotel it was a very good choice.

Italy, was fantastic, the sights were iconic and the food excellent.
The best parts:
The guides were all excellent. Very patient and knowledgeable. The itinerary was well paced. And Miriam who set up this trip with my friend Franak deserves praise. Franak spoke very highly of her. She listened and suggested and provided alternatives where needed. It was a seamless well executed trip.

My husband and I were trying to plan a romantic honeymoon in Italy, I was very happy with the speedy communication and itinerary the company was offering. We booked with our specialized tour guide Enrico. He was so helpful with all of our requests of sights to see and where to stay. All hotels were central to shopping, piazza's and restaurants. He tailored our very own private Italian tour and it was a trip my husband and I will remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you Enrico for your time and patience and help creating something that was so memorable and special. We began our tour in Rome: Our walking guided tour guide Ilaria was so knowledgeable about Rome and its history. It was a small group making it more Intimate. Our Coliseum tour guide Alejandro from ***** was also very friendly and knowledgeable. Later in the afternoon we had an opportunity to visit the Sistine Chapel. Our guide Simon from ******* made it fun and engaging. Enrico arranged all transportation from each city. The train system in Italy was very straight forward and comfortable. We took a direct train from Rome to Florence where our gem of a guide Demetra took us on a fun tour of Florence. It truly was a beautiful experience. The bridges, and art were breathtaking. Tourist tip: We climbed to the top of Piazzale Michelangelo where there were stunning views of the city and Arno river. Next stop: Verona. The birth place of Romeo and Juliet. Verona was also a very romantic city. The quaint streets, friendly people and the feeling of love in the entire city was an amazing experience. A trip to Verona would not be complete without visiting the famous Juliet's Balcony (Casa di Giulietta). Tip: Shopping in Italy is fantastic, we stopped off at a store called Unieuro in downtown Verona where we got a great price for a small carry on bag. Our guide Irene was so passionate about Verona and its rich history. We had a private tour where she took us to every special nook of Verona. It was a pleasure meeting her. Our last stop: Venice. We were picked up by water taxi from the train station and got dropped to our hotel. It was a fun time! We had another private tour with our guide Luigina. Venice was a beautiful city surrounded by water. Great food and very central to all major historic landmarks. Having ****** plan our trip made it all so easy and stress-free. I highly recommend the company to anyone planning an Italian Getaway. Thank you Enrico for all your assistance and a beautiful honeymoon.
The best parts:
We loved every bit of Italy, the food, the people, the history and the romance. We will definitely be travelling to Italy again.
The worst parts:
Not having enough time to spend in Italy and coming back home.

We did a 14 day tour by car starting from Palermo and ending in Catania.Favourite places were Palermo, Ortygia, Segesta and Taormina/Mount Etna. Best activities were walking tour in Palermo, a puppet show in Ortygia and the excursion to Mount Etna
The best parts:
The wonderful combination in Sicily of historical architecture in diverse styles, the landscape, the cuisine and the wonderful people we encountered. There was very little to dislike. The organization of our trip, hotels, the drivers and guides, were all outstanding. We were particularly impressed by Chiara Utro as our guide in Palermo. We will certainly return.
The worst parts:
Just one: Marsala. Arrived on Sunday evening to find we were only tourists in the whole hotel. Monday's tour of city was a waste as all museums were closed that day. We arrived 15 minutes late at salt pans and missed a tour. And it was raining most of our stay.

It was our first time to Italy. Rome was not what we expected, it’s dirty and full of graffiti. As above, driving through Naples isn’t a tour. Pompeii is very interesting, enjoyed the city. Again, not so much the tour or the guide. We loved Venice. It’s a beautiful city. We will go back to Venice some day.
The best parts:
The hotels were perfect, especially the one in Venice.
The worst parts:
The tour company (the local supplier) was extremely disorganized. I wouldn’t go with them again. The time at each destination was rushed and disorganized. Also including Naples as part of the tour is a big stretch as driving through the city doesn’t count as s your in my opinion.

While we enjoyed everything about Italy, the opportunity to invite our two adult children to accompany us for a week so they too could get a glimpse of their heritage and see where their grandparents and great grandparents lived was priceless. For us the most satisfying part of our trip. All the while, Enrico stayed in touch by email to see how things were going and to get us lined up for the coming day's events. Well done, Enrico!
The best parts:
Beautiful country to visit. We saw many unique and amazing historical sites and artistic masterpieces. Enrico did a great job in lining up hotels within our budget and tours to many wonderful places. Food was fantastic! Service for the most part was very good. Prior to starting our tour in Roma, we were able to visit our home village in Abruzzo (Castel del Monte) with our children and had an opportunity to show them a little about their heritage. We all want to go back there again some day as the people were so friendly and welcoming.
The worst parts:
While most tours were great and the guides friendly, knowledgeable and professional, there were a couple of things we think could be improved upon: 1) Our first tour, Main Square of Rome. We were to meet at the Piazza del Popolo in front of the church of Santa Maria del Popolo. We did not expect there would be 3 churches there all named Santa Maria and so we waited at the twin churches there not knowing there was another church across the piazza and consequently we missed out on the tour. We tried to call the emergency number provided but there was no answer. We would suggest the directions include more detailed information so that this does not occur on future tours. 2) In Venezia, we went on a boat trip to Morano, Burano and Torcello. While they were beautiful islands to visit we felt very rushed to stay on schedule. We ended up eating a sandwich on the run to catch the boat and barely got to see any of the islands' sites. We might suggest either allowing more time for this tour or only visiting 1 or 2 islands. 3) While we requested small group tours some of the tours numbered over 100 participants. Please understand, we are not complaining, but only offering our observations in the hopes that these tours can be made a little better.

Three weeks in Italy. Carpineto Romano, Venice, Florence and Tuscany, Pisa, Cinque Terre, Rome. Wonderful!
The best parts:
Discovering so many new things, in a country completely new to me. Having all our transportation needs arranged for us (by Evaneos). The courtesy and attentiveness of our agent to our requirements.
The worst parts:
We found that we had overestimated our energy level when it came to the day tours. After our first 10-hour day in Tuscany, we had ro forego the next day's tour (which would likely have been even better) because we were so exhausted. We did, however, take the third day tour to Pisa and thoroughly enjoyed it. Keep in mind, we had already spent over a week in Carpineto Romano and Venice, walking, walking..... Lesson learned :-)

Sometimes visiting many sights can become exhausting, sounds like you still enjoyed your time despite having to forego one of the tours. Hoping to see you in the future here at Evaneos :) Regards, Philip

We arrived to Rome in the morning and we started to know this beautiful city, for three days we enjoyed the monuments, paintings and sculptures. We loved the fountains, coliseum and the pantheon. Then we take the train to Venice we’re enjoy the water taxi and the gondola. Was really beautiful the food and the people was great. After 2 days we take the train to Florence ( my favorite city) everyday something amazing 😉 the food, the little towns, the people and the views was stopped breathing! We have the life time trip 😊 and we planning the next. Thank you so much to Enrico, he make this trip unforgettable.

We had a great honeymoon. Arrived in Rome, went to Florence, went to Venice, ended in Milan. All in all it was a once in a lifetime trip for us.
The best parts:
The private tours were great!
The worst parts:
Some of the group tours had way too many people, and one of them didn't have a tour guide.

Everything was well arranged and all services on time. We thank Enrico and his team for their efforts.
The best parts:
My wife and I both believe that trip along Amalfi coast and Capri were the best part of our vacation. Sorrento and area are beautiful and we hope to return there again.
The worst parts:
we were not satisfied with our hotel in Florence. If that was a 3 star hotel then next time we should go for a 4 star.

We wove our way down from Milan down to the bay of Naples, visiting lots of small towns along the way.
The best parts:
We loved the sites / towns selected to visit. We used a driver every day and that worked out well. The hotels were centrally located.
The worst parts:
Part of the plan was not efficient. We drove through Perugia on our way to Siena, yet our travel agent had us scheduled to return to Perugia, Cortona and Assisi on another day from Siena. It wasn't efficient. We were unhappy with one of the hotels selected - Michelangelo in Sorrento.
