To make the most of the views, head out early in the morning, before clouds cover the peaks.

If you pass through Pokhara during your visit to Nepal, the detour through Sarangkot, which offers an unobstructed view of the Himalayas, is a must-see.

My suggestion

Get up at dawn if you want to have the chance to see the entire Annapurna mountain range from Sarangkot. It becomes overcast in the middle of the morning, which quickly prevents anyone from seeing so far.

Sarangkot is a tiny village at the top of a hill near Pokhara which is famous for the magnificent view it has of the Himalayas at dawn and at dusk.

My suggestion

Take a taxi and go to the top of the village, preferably at dawn, because then you can have a superb walk back down the hill to Pokhara. Don't forget to make sure you camera is fully charged.
