Our tours in Mongolia

An arrival on board the Transmongolian (that links Moscow to Beijing via Oulan-Bator) accross the Gobi desert enables you to get a fairly good idea of the breathtaking scenery that Mongolia has to offer. This trip will take you through the immensity of the largest Asiatic desert and its vast moonscape to get to the capital. It harbours numerous cultural riches, such as the National History Museum and the Gadantegchilen monastery with its giant Buddha, but it is outside the towns that the main Mongolian riches are found. In the centre of the country, the cultural landscape of the Orkhon valley enables you to discover the local history through the archaeological remains of the vast empire of Gengis Khan and of Kharkhorin, its capital. The Altaï Mountains, situated at the extreme west of the country, offer the most fearless traveller a place for trekking that is out of the ordinary. You will enjoy the purity and isolation of a magnificently preserved place (as reflects its country), an ecological paradise where volcanoes and lakes mix at high altitude, with water so pure that you can drink it straight from the spring. You will come across the local fauna and, in particular, if you are lucky, a snow leopard.
