Due to a last minute cancellation of our trip to Nicaragua we found ourselves going to Panama. So pleased we did. We spent the first part of the holiday in the highlands walking and climbing the volcanco. Then a few days at Bocas enjoying the beach. Back to Panama City for trips to the National Parks for bird watching and meeting the local tribes. Off back to the coast, San Blas, to spend time with the Guna people, before finishing our trip with a visit to the canal. Each part of the holiday had so many highlights, a visit is a must to fully appreciate what Panama has to offer.
The best parts:
It was very well organised. Included everything we had asked for and everything they said would happen did happen and at the time they said. Panama is an amazing country and we would recommend people to go. There is something there for everyone. One day you are in the rain forest, the next you are by the Caribbean Sea, the next you are in the city. The choice of accommodation was inspired. Particular praise must go to our guide in Boquete, Cesar Gonzalez, who was simply the best
The worst parts:
Nothing, the local agency did a brilliant job organising our trip

We found the destination in Swedish television and after that program we decided that we want to explore Panama. I think we enjoyed Bocas del Mar the most but all places where different and nice.
The best parts:
We liked more less everything and it was very well organized. Fine hotels and resorts good drivers
The worst parts:
The only thing that we could have been without is the Quetzial Trail. A long hike and very little to see. The guide did although a good job. We saw more birds at the resort. We would rather have don a Zip-line tour. We liked Bouquet and the nature there. We also miss Azul Paradise which we saw as the edge of the whole tour. Red Frog was not bad but still not the same.

A couple of days on a coffee plantation on a volcano at Boquete with beautiful gardens and wonderful bird watching.

Panama City is a worthwhile destination. Gustavo and Felix were fantastic guide and driver and in general Evaneos local representative Philippe very helpful during our visit tailor making. Our favorites were Empera Village, amazing experience and Panama Canal Partial transit.
The best parts:
Empera village and Panama canal
The worst parts:
Coming from Cusco Peru we lost our luggage. Finally we got them the last day just before we flew out from Panama City. Evaneos Guide Gustavo and Driver Felix were of great assistance to our efforts to communicate with the airline AVIANCA, place a pressure on them and follow up the tracing of the luggage till we found them.

The tour was amazing. All the tours were handled really carefully well in advance- so nothing was a waste. The places we stayed in were more than excellent- each had its unique taste and experience. So many attractions and each was very special, the Rafting , the Zipline, the Jungle boat, the Canal the villages we visited had left a remarkable experience for the children- a must when visiting Panama. The travel guides we had were excellent and very pleasant. Our drivers who accompanied us were very nice, charming and polite.
The best parts:
We enjoyed all the tours and the hikes. the Gamboa expirience, Junfle boat, Embra Village , Canal tour, whale watching tour in Boca Chica, Boquete- Coffee tour, Hike, Zipline, Hanging Bridges, Jeep Volcano tour, White Water Rafting,Chocolate farm, the Vila in Red Frog Beach, San Blas Yandup lodge bungalow on the water

Arrival on Sunday, hotel was good. Monday railroad trip to Colon, new locks on the Caribbean side, Fort San Lorenzo. Tuesday Panama City and locks on the Pacific side. Wednesday departure for San Blas Islands till Friday morning, Friday no program saw the new museum of biodiversity and a mall. Lots of impressions- We reached during rainy season but without rain no rainforest!
The best parts:
well organized trip and fantastic ponctuality of the agency's driver and guide who were very friendly and competent. The Panama Canal remains a marvel, the railroad trip is well worth it, Panama City is impressive and San Blas the absolute contrast- one dreams about white beaches and coconut trees . The Guna people are amazing and one can only hope that their journey between old traditions and modern technology will remain successful . Great trip and glad I found you and Ana's agency !!
The worst parts:
We had early starts but if you want to see a lot in a short time, this is to be expected. The sunflies attacked me on San Blas but that is the fault of nobody. I should have inquired if there is a local product that is efficient. My repellent did not work.

Panama is a beautiful varied country. We had a chance to get a sense of its history and also a look into its future. We learned about the colonial history, the biological variability, the indigenous people and managed to relax! The accommodations were perfect and the guides were friendly, knowledgable and able to be flexible with the schedule.
The best parts:
The itinerary was amazing.. we covered so much ground and got an authentic feel for the people, the land and the culture.
The worst parts:
Sometimes there was a need for a few more breaks in the schedule.
