One of the best preserved and least visited sites in the country, Pergamon should definitely be on your Turkish itinerary.
My suggestion:
You'll see lots of stickers round town urging the German authorities to return the archaeological treasures being exhibited in Berlin's Pergamon Museum.
My review
Bergama is a charming town, with a relaxed atmosphere, a beautiful little center, and old alleys but the archaeological site which is on the hill above
is the incredible site of Pergamon whose origins date back to the 8th century B.C.E.
