Phú Quốc is an island paradise located off the coast of South Vietnam.

My suggestion:
Explore the island's national park, which has a great deal to offer.
My review
I arrived and disembarked at Phú Quốc from the Mekong Delta and was originally planning to spend two days there enjoying the beach, but I liked it so much that I ended up extending my stay and remaining for a whole week.
Phú Quốc is less tourist-oriented than, for example, the islands of South Thailand, and I really loved its long white sandy beaches, its turquoise seas, its little bars right on the beach, and both its very basic restaurants and its more elegant ones. You can find something to suit all tastes here. I'd booked a room in a little bungalow just two minutes from the beach just so I could enjoy the pleasure of sipping my fresh fruit juice with the sand between my toes first thing in the morning.
I also hired a scooter for a few days so I could explore the island a little, which both gave me the chance to see something other than the beach and enabled me to visit the national park, with its rivers and lush vegetation. The park in fact covers 70 percent of the island. Phú Quốc is definitely somewhere to include on your tour of Vietnam.
